Hi there, my name is Sylvie BarthelemY.

I’m so glad you’re here.

I'm a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), yoga and meditation teacher, Ayurvedic educator and licensed massage therapist. For over 20 years, I’ve been helping women who struggle with anxiety find balance, ease, and peace, a journey that’s dear to my heart.

As a kid, I suffered from many ailments: digestive issues, debilitating migraines, heart pain, and anxiety. Medical professionals told me I was fine, but I knew I was not. It was an isolating experience.

Intuitively, I began sensing the cause of my physical symptoms ran deeper than what traditional medicine could detect. Unlike most kids my age, I asked a lot of unique questions that troubled me. What the heck was this life for? What was I here to do?

My healing journey has shown me repeatedly that stress and anxiety have nothing to do with externals and that the only way to heal nervous system imbalances is from the inside out.

I became fascinated with the connection between the mind and the body, and at age 15, I read as many psychology books as I could. When I turned 17 and moved to New York to train as a dancer, I discovered yoga and became a diligent student. Yoga gave me a new paradigm through which I could understand myself and my place in the world. It taught me that I was responsible for creating my life, from the inside out. The physical practice paired with the philosophy also confirmed something I’d suspected about my anxiety: the root cause was a dys-regulated nervous system.

After two years of quasi-daily practice under the tutelage of my first teacher, Gordon Sharpe, I began teaching, and soon had a full schedule. It was then, in 1996, that I finally started my soul’s purpose: helping people heal by retraining their nervous systems.

Over the last 25 + years, I’ve continued to see how damaging stress and anxiety are to our health. We clench, tighten, withdraw and may seek soothing in sensory gratifications. But that’s not sustainable. We suffer, and our relationships suffer too. It´s difficult, if not impossible to enjoy life when you´re not well. Learning how to stay relaxed, centered and receptive amidst life´s challenges is a life skill, and in my opinion it is priceless.

Challenges are inevitable. Suffering is not, something I learned from my personal experience and have witnessed with countless clients.

I’m passionate about helping women cultivate a calm mind in a relaxed body, and rekindle their natural joie de vivre.

Through this work, my hope is that as more women find emotional balance and reconnect with their heart's deepest longing, they will embody a balanced feminine – equally wild and wise – for the benefit of all. It is with this larger vision in mind that I humbly offer my services.
